Angels on Horseback

In a formal, traditional English meal, a savoury is a small salty or savory dish served between the dessert course and the wines. Angels on horseback has typically been served as a savoury, although it also can be an appetizer or canapé. The dish is made by wrapping fresh shucked oysters in bacon and broiling or baking them in the oven. They also may be grilled.
